How to get to the Pavilion of Knowledge?
The Pavilion of Knowledge- Ciência Viva Center is located in Parque das Nações, on the former site of Expo 98, in Lisbon. It´s structure is easily recognizable by the enormous exterior volume of its main structure.
Metro: Gare do Oriente- Red line
Train: Gare do Oriente ( see special conditions in CP )
Bus: The nearest CARRIS bus stop is “Oceanário Lisboaâ€, on Alameda dos Oceanos, supported by the bus routes 26B and 728.
At the Gare do Oriente you can find buses 400, 705, 708, 725, 728, 744, 750, 759, 782 and 794.
By car: There is a paid car park in the area: Parque da Doca, Parque do Casino- Alameda dos Oceanos or Parque do Oceanário.

The Pavilion of Knowledge closes on the 24 th , 25 th and 31 st of December and January 1 st .
What to do at the Pavilion of Knowledge?
Useful information for visiting the Pavilion of Knowledge
- The ticket to the Pavilion of Knowledge allows you to visit all the exhibitions and take part in some scientific activities .
- The ticket is valid for the whole day.
- For your convenience, you can purchase your ticket online (link).
- The average duration of the visit is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Telephone services are answered Monday through Friday between 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
- The Pavilion of Knowledge is accessible to all visitors, without exception. We offer people with special needs a 50% discount on entry tickets and access to inclusive interactive scientific modules.
- Guide dogs are allowed in all areas of the Pavilion of Knowledge.
- The Pavilion of Knowledge provides visitors wheelchairs and baby strollers for visitors, subject to availability, at our ticket office. It is not possible to reserve them in advance. At the end of the visit, they must be returned to the ticket office or store.
- Next to the ticket office on the first floor, there are lockers where you can store small belongings.
- The Pavilion of Knowledge store is located on the ground floor. Find books, educational games, clothing and many other products available in the physical shop located in the Pavilion of Knowledge.

- Food and drinks are not allowed in the exhibition areas as they may cause damage to the exhibition modules.
- All children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
- The entire building is covered by Wi-Fi with the name cv_visitantes.
- All visitors may photograph or film their visit for private purposes only if they do not capture images of other visitors. Recordings or photo shoots for promotional or commercial purposes require prior authorization. The Pavilion of Knowledge store has a varied selection of articles for all ages and sizes.
Products of temporary exhibitions, books, games, clothes and many more.
Accessibility
We provide inclusive and accessible experiences for all visitors. We are equipped with ramps and lifts to facilitate wheelchair access and accessible bathrooms.
Cafeteria
Our bar/cafeteria counts on a daily offer of meals from varied diets, including vegetarian options. We also offer a selection of pastries of the day.

Lockers
The Pavilion of Knowledge offers a set of lockers, on the ground floor and first floor, where visitors can keep their belongings while they visit the exhibition area.
