Water is essential to life.

We use it to produce energy, the clothes we wear and the food we eat, and to the different ways we travel around. Unfortunately, this precious natural resource faces several threats that put its availability and quality at risk, thus affecting an entire planet. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Ciência Viva collaborates with Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian and Águas do Tejo Atlântico to promote a contest of ideas for Hydrodynamic people and projects, wanting to contribute to solving problems associated with the use, consumption, preservation and scarcity of water in one of three aspects: environmental, social and food. The HidroDinâmic@s ideas contest is aimed at people of legal age with projects related to the use, consumption, preservation and scarcity of water, carried out individually (provided they are non-profit) or through non-profit structures (association, foundation, NGO).

The most dynamic people and teams and the most innovative ideas receive an incentive to implement the projects and will be publicly presented at an event in March 2022, in a venue to be announced.

In each category - Environmental, Social, Food - the two best projects will be supported:

First prize: 2 500€
Special prize: 1 000€

The awarded projects will also have the opportunity to participate in a masterclass aimed at providing assistance to develop the winning ideas.

The contest runs from 25 November 2021 to 23 January 2022. Are there still any doubts? Check the regulation below or write to hidrodinamics@pavconhecimento.pt
