Pavilion of Knowledge - Ciência Viva Science Centre is situated in Parque das Nações, in the former premises of Expo 98, in Lisbon. It is easily recognised due to the great volume of the main nave.

Bus: The closest CARRIS bus stop is the “Oceanário Lisboa”, at Alameda dos Oceanos, served by buses 26B and 728.

There is paid parking nearby.

At Gare do Oriente you can find buses 400, 705, 708, 725, 728, 744, 750, 759, 782 and 794.

By car: Parking facilities nearby: Parque da Doca, Parque do Casino – Alameda dos Oceanos or Parque do Oceanário.

Plan your safe visit

According to the legislation passed on October 5 2021, it will no longer be necessary to book your visit to the Pavilion of Knowledge. Also, there will be no limit to the total number of visitors to the Pavilion, which will be reverted to pre pandemic times, hence no restrictions are in place. You can still opt for buying your tickets online. It's much faster!

Be aware that the Family Ticket and some applicable discounts can only be bought or applied for directly at out physical ticket office. For more information, please refer to the full pricing list.

Opening hours from Tuesday to Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m. (last entrance: 05:30 p.m.; 04:30 p.m. for groups) 

Weekends and Holidays: 10:00 a.m. to 07:00 p.m. (last entrance at 06:30 p.m.)

Average visit duration: 01h30m 


The Pavilion of Knowledge - Ciência Viva Science Centre will be closed on 24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January.
