CCV Tavira

[ Tavira Ciência Viva Centre ]

Water and energy are the main topics of this Ciência Viva Centre. Testing how much it costs to light up a lamp putting our muscles to work, verifying how the quantity of water determines the amount of energy produced in a dam, planning where to locate water treating stations in order to reduce the effects of polluting industries, provoking rain on a small mountain or observing the erosion caused by water, are some of the challenges presented by the Tavira Ciência Viva Centre.

Apart from the exhibits, the activities and experiments carried out in the labs give the Centre a strong practical and experimental character. An area where visitors can have access to the Internet completes the offer.
